Zürs
is
a small village on the Austrian Arlberg that is often
paired with the resort of Lech in the same breath. The
biggest difference is though that Lech is a historical
village and operates the year round; albeit far less in
summer.
Zürs
on the other hand operates and profits only in winter.
It is almost closed in summer. If winter is what
Zürs
is about, then it has really a lot going for it.
Nicknamed "high
Zürs"
it is a name truly earned. The resort begins at 1720
meters and goes up from there. The resort has a total
of just 22 hotels, most of them of a very high standard.
Is
Zürs
a cheap destination? No, but is service and class ever
cheap?
